I Shall Not Be Moved - Psalm 16:8

Published on 29 May 2025 at 07:00

For today’s meditation, I have taken the Word from the book of Psalm

I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved - Psalm 16:8

In this verse, David expresses an unshakable confidence that flows from a life centered on God. “I have set the Lord always before me” is more than just a statement, it’s a daily decision. It reflects a heart that intentionally chooses to keep God in focus, no matter the season or circumstance.

David wasn’t exempt from trials, but he knew where his stability came from. He placed God at the center of everything his thoughts, his plans, his reactions. And because of that, he could face adversity without being overcome by fear or doubt.

The second part of the verse, “Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved,” speaks of divine nearness and strength. For David, God wasn’t distant or passive He was a present help, an active protector standing beside him.

This verse encourages us to live with a deep awareness of God’s constant presence. When life feels uncertain or unstable, the truth of Psalm 16:8 offers us a solid anchor:

God is near. God is present. God is faithful.

You don’t have to be unshaken in your own strength because He is at your right hand, you shall not be moved.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for this timely and powerful word. Your promise in Psalm 16:8 reminds us that when we keep You before us, we can stand firm and unshaken. I pray for everyone who reads this post—may they feel Your presence beside them today. Strengthen their hearts, calm their minds, and fill them with peace. Remind them that You are their constant help and faithful protector. No matter what they face, may they trust that You are near, and because of that, they will not be moved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have A blessed day in the Lord Jesus Christ 😊

In Christ
