For today’s meditation, I have taken the Word from the book of 2 Kings
So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders;and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet. - 2 Kings 13:21
What a powerful and mysterious moment when a dead man came back to life just by touching the bones of the prophet Elisha! It might sound strange at first, but it shows us something important, God’s power is not limited by time, place, or even death.
Elisha was a prophet through whom God did many miracles. After he died, his body was placed in a tomb. Later, during a time of crisis, another man’s body was thrown into that same tomb. When the dead man touched Elisha’s bones, he came back to life.
This wasn’t just about Elisha. It was a sign of God’s power, power that doesn’t fade and can work beyond our understanding. Even in death, the presence of God remained, showing that His power is greater than any human limit.
So when you feel afraid, overwhelmed, or lost, remember: one touch of God’s presence can bring new life where everything felt dead, hope where there was only despair, and strength in the middle of your weakness. His power is still at work and it can change everything.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your Word and for the powerful reminder through the story of Elisha’s bones. I pray for everyone reading this devotionmay they experience Your power that is greater than death. Help us to trust You to restore what’s been lost, revive what seems dead, and bring joy where there has been sorrow. Like the man who was brought back to life, let us be touched by Your Spirit standing, renewed, and full of hope again. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Have A blessed day in the Lord Jesus Christ 😊
